Vote for Australia’s best stadium seating pattern

Austadiums   |  Tuesday 17th March 2020

As the reality of life with coronavirus hits home, empty stadiums have become the norm and stadium seats will be on show to millions of fans – but which stadium has the best? Here’s your chance to vote.

It’s the inaugural and ever-so-prestigious Austadiums Seat Awards!

The 2020 AFL season will commence behind closed doors on Thursday evening, while the NRL moves into round two, and the A-League will roll into round 24.

Last year, the season-opener attracted 85,016 fans to the MCG and a similar attendance was expected again to kick-off the 2020 season, but instead only a handful of officials will be inside the 100,000-capacity Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The seating pattern of a stadium is a talking point for some, but they’ll now be forced upon viewers for the foreseeable future. There are a few distinct styles, and some can destroy the look of a classy stadium.

Scroll down to cast your vote in this all-important discussion! Voting closes seven days from now – Thursday 26 March at 5pm AEDT.

Below are 10 hand-picked by the Austadiums team, but you can vote on any sports stadium located within Australia – search stadiums on our website and enter the name under ‘other’.
